Phuket, Koh Phi Phi & Koh Lanta Island Hopping — Thailand island hopping route

Picture landing in Phuket, hopping a boat to the limestone cliffs of Koh Phi Phi, then easing south to the long, quiet beaches of Koh Lanta. This Phuket, Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta island hopping route is the classic Andaman triangle — and it bends entirely to your pace.

There’s no rigid schedule here. Think of the 6-day and 8-day versions below as loose packages to spark ideas. Want three nights of diving on Lanta and just one on Phi Phi? Prefer only morning boats so you never lose an afternoon? Tell our Virtual Ticket Assistant your dates and preferences, and we’ll plan and book every leg around you.

Pick your pace

These are starting points, not fixed timetables — stretch or shorten any island as you like.

6-day taster

  • Phuket — 2 nights. Land at the airport, beach time and a first Andaman sunset.
  • Koh Phi Phi — 2 nights. Limestone viewpoints, snorkelling and Tonsai after dark.
  • Koh Lanta — 2 nights. Long beaches, diving and a much slower pace.

8-day relaxed

  • Phuket — 2 nights to settle in (Old Town or a west-coast beach).
  • Koh Phi Phi — 2 nights, with a morning at Maya Bay or a quieter north-island stay.
  • Koh Lanta — 4 nights for a diving course, national-park beaches or just doing nothing.

Or tell the assistant your exact dates and we’ll tailor it — stay longer on the island you love and pick morning, afternoon or evening ferries.

How long to spend on each island

Phuket is the gateway, with the region’s main airport and the widest choice of resorts, dining and nightlife. One to two nights is plenty before you hop. Explore more on the Phuket destination page.

Koh Phi Phi is the postcard stop — dramatic cliffs, snorkelling and a lively village. A night or two covers most travellers; stay on Phi Phi Don rather than day-tripping if you want sunrise without the crowds. See things to do on Koh Phi Phi.

Koh Lanta is the chill finish — long beaches, world-class diving and far fewer people than Phi Phi. Give it two to four nights, especially if you want to dive. More on the Koh Lanta destination page.

When to go

The Andaman islands run on a different season to the Gulf. November to April brings the calmest seas, the most daily departures and the best visibility. May to October is the monsoon window — trips are still very doable, but seas can be choppier and some speedboat schedules shift, so it pays to keep your plan flexible and check conditions a day or two ahead.

How to book your custom trip

Use the planner below to start a chat, or message us on WhatsApp. Share your arrival date, how many nights you’d like on each island, and whether you prefer early or late ferries. We’ll line up the best operators for each leg, arrange pier transfers, and book the whole route in one go — so all you have to do is turn up and hop aboard.
