Picture starting your morning on a Koh Samui beach, hopping a catamaran to Koh Phangan for a sunset and a party, then cruising north to the clear diving waters of Koh Tao. This Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao island hopping route is the classic Gulf of Thailand triangle — and the best part is that it bends entirely to your pace.
There’s no rigid schedule here. Think of the 5-day and 7-day versions below as loose packages to spark ideas. Want three nights of diving on Koh Tao and just one on Phangan? Prefer only morning ferries so you never lose an afternoon? Tell our Virtual Ticket Assistant your dates and preferences, and we’ll plan and book every leg around you.

How long to spend on each island
Koh Samui is the gateway, with the region’s main airport and the widest choice of resorts, restaurants and nightlife. One to two nights is plenty to ease in. Explore more on the Koh Samui destination page.
Koh Phangan is famous for the Full Moon Party, but it’s also home to quiet northern beaches, jungle viewpoints and wellness retreats. A night or two covers most travellers. See things to do on Koh Phangan.
Koh Tao is Thailand’s diving capital — affordable courses, easy snorkelling straight off the beach and the iconic Nang Yuan viewpoint. Give it two to three nights, especially if you want to dive. More on the Koh Tao destination page.
When to go
The Gulf islands run on a different season to the Andaman coast. January to September brings the calmest seas, the most daily departures and the best diving visibility. October to December is the monsoon window — trips are still very doable, but seas can be choppier and some schedules shift, so it pays to keep your plan flexible and check conditions a day or two ahead.
